Mary completed an English and History Degree in University College Dublin in 1982 and qualified as a teacher in the summer of 1983 before embarking on a career in London in Human Resources. Mary’s career in Human Resource Management has spanned 19 years, during which time she has built up significant expertise in the legal, retail, advertising and IT business sectors.

As a HR Director and Manager in London during the late 1980’s and 1990’s, Mary was involved in helping businesses deal with the inevitable consequences of an economic downturn. It was during this period that Mary worked closely with senior executives on determining and implementing strategic change and restructuring programmes.

Following full-time HR Management roles within Dell Computers, J Walter Thompson, and Marks & Spencer, Mary set up a HR & Management consultancy in 2000. Since then she has worked with a number of businesses across a wide business spectrum including the health services, professional services, retail, public and pharmaceutical sectors.

Mary has sat on a number of interview panels for both public and private sector organisations.

• Coaching senior individuals through periods of career transition

Mary is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development of the United Kingdom and Ireland, (FCIPD). She attended The Professional Services Leadership Programme in Harvard Business School (March 2006). Mary is a fully qualified coach having completed an executive coaching programme with the London School of Coaching (May 2008).
